HDMI Adapter outputs a black image when the iPad is in Standby and charging
Hello,
I discovered a problem with the (original) Apple HDMI adapters.
Tested with 2 different iPads, iPad 2 Mini (Lightning HDMI adapter) and iPad 2 (30 pin HDMI adapter).
The HDMI adapter is working fine, showing the iPad screen on a display when powerd on.
When pushing the standby button on the iPad the display shows "no signal" and goes into standby mode when the iPad is powered from the battery. This is OK.
When pushing the standby button on the iPad the display a black image, and does not go into standby mode when the iPad is connected to the (original) battery charger. This is not OK.
The EDID of the display is 1080p, 60Hz, LPCM 2 channel, the iPad outputs that signal.
I inserted a HDMI analyzer and found that when the issue occurs, the iPad still outputs a video signal with resolution 1080p. The display supports HDCP. The iPad keeps sending encrypted when the issue occurs.
Apple, please investigate and fix this bug
Thanks in advance.
