Apple ID login fails

I have a new iphone which I got today but I am using my old iCloud account. Everything worked just fine until I tried to download an app from App Store.

The dialog appears saying that additional verification is required.

It’s redirecting me to settings and asking for my apple id again. When I enter my password the spinner appears and it’s loading forever.

I cannot download any app.

Also I never received any text with a code.

What can I do?
