Perfectly functioning older Canon MX925 printer is not working with my MacBook Pro.

Perfectly functioning older Canon MX925 printer is not working with my MacBook Pro (Mojave) that is only one year old. It is as if we are to fill landfills. I feel sustainability is not a priority.

Canon has not provided useful software nor information on their site. What I downloaded there did NOT function. I can not scan nor print between my MacBook Pro and the MX950 printer.

What solutions have you come up with?
