Symlink

I created a symlink to to my itunes backup on my external hardrive, it all worked well but now the link doesn't work because "the original object" can't be found.

Can anyone help me with this issue, I have tried to restart the Finder and the mac but it doesnt weem to work

this is the command i used in Terminal:

ln -s /Volumes/extern/to/backup1/ ~/Library/Application\ Support/MobileSync

extern = my external hardrive and backup1=is the folder in which i wanted to do the backups and where i copied the original backup folder from the Mobilesync folder.
