Bootmanager broken?

Hi,

I'm using a late 2012 Mac mini. My problem is, that I can't get into the Startup Manager and boot another hard drive.

What I've tried so far:

reseting NVRAM and SMC
multiple wireless and wired keyboards
bypassing the Startup Manager by using abdyfranco's Boot Manager
reinstalled macOS

background: I'am trying to install Windows 10 on the second internal hard drive via Boot Camp but it seems the Mac fails booting the install routine as it results every time in a black screen

Can you start from another Startdrive, when you use Startup Disk preferences?

Perhaps the USB-Port is defect.

Unplug all USB-Devices except the keyboard and try it again. If this doesn't work you must contact the support.

I've connected multiple devices which are bootable. When I connect the same devices on my MacBook I can boot them without any problems.

So macOS can't identified a startup disk. Is your macOS up to date? Which macOS does you Mac mini has?

You can only select a different startup disk, if you have a second disk with a bootable operating system.

How old is your macBook? The Strauß manager shows only devices with compatible operating systems.

So it's possible, that Hardware of your iMac is too old.

According to the apple support website on Bootcamp with Windows 10 my Mac mini isn't to old. It says "Mac mini introduced in 2012 or later".

I tried booting the Bootcamp USB-Stick and the 2nd hard drive via Startup Disk preferences but it didn't work both times.

The Usb Ports are working fine.
