Macbook bricked

Hi, I have the following problem: I had installed the Big Sur Beta on my Macbook Air (2018), but wanted to do a clean reinstall. I read in forums, for a clean reinstall it was recommended to delete all partitions and reinstall Catalina via Internet Recovery. OK, hold my beer... Unfortunately not read to the end and not logged off the Mac from "Find my device". Now I can neither reinstall via USB stick (no boot from USB) nor update via the Internet (error -1008F).

I have unregistered the Macbook from find my device, but how should the Macbook without OS notice this? Is it bricked now?

Didn't mention: I can't get into the recovery mode or the startup manager no matter which key combination I try. Just black screen with the selection list for the Wifi. Enter Wifi-Code, downloading... Error -1008F
