Apple TV does not hold the connection for more than a couple of minutes

My internet is working well when i use my computer. When i use my Apple TV, the connection does not hold for longer than a couple of minutes. I have to restart the apple tv then it works and then it goes down again after a couple of minutes. If i connect my apple tv to the shared internet from my iphone, then it works very well. What is going on?
