"Duplicates" Photos are missing in Photo App Menu

I had problems with the shared library.

I had added my partner in the same family cloud.

After that, all the photos from the albums in the personal library were gone.

Also, the new ability to find duplicates has been missing ever since.

I removed the partner from the shared library again.

Nevertheless, the Duplicates folder is still missing.

I use besides the macbook: iPad air4, iPhone XR and my partner iPhone 8

Have you seen the Duplicates album previously? It seems to vanish, once we have merged all duplicates and the recognition does not start again, once we import new photos. It might be a bug.

Is the toggle between libraries set to show both libraries? the duplicates are only shown, when both libraries are selected.

It is intentional, that the photos you share are removed from your personal library. Photos is moving the shared photos to the shared library and not copying them to the shared library. You have to move the photos back, when you delete the shared library or you will lose your photos.

Photos is scanning the library initially for duplicates, right after the upgrade to Ventura. After merging the duplicates I have not seen new duplicates appearing and the Duplicates album remained invisible.

I deleted the shared library again, after the problems with the disappearing photos of the albums in my personal library.

Nevertheless, the Duplicates button also remains gone, even though I had it before I set up the shared library.

This is a feature that I'm sure no one wants and irritates many.

I just want to share and not change my albums or other facilities in photo. But that doesn't seem to work, especially my albums are not shared.

I'll have to wait for Apple to add usable features to this app.

Removing duplicates seems to have been done at least once.

Currently I am only using the feature only to share photos with myself, to transfer photos between my two iClouds for different AppleIDs, to archive photos. But not for sharing photos with others. I want to keep my best photos in my personal iCloud Photos Library.
