iPhone doesn't want to turn on

Hallo, hoffentlich jemand hier spricht Englisch.

I have a problem, my phone doesn't want to turn on.

Last night the battery was low, about 3% so before going to bed I put it charging with cable. Original Apple charger. Unfortunately when in the morning the alarm didn't ring, I figured out the phone is off. I cannot turn it on, tried resetting but nothing works. Black screen, no reaction.

I read in the internet some tips like " leave it for half an hour charging, try hard reset then leave it for another half an hour" but actually the phone was "charging" the whole night so that's not an issue.

Yes, I have tried other Apple charger I got with an iPad - no reaction.(also checked an input if it's clean).

Well, the phone is 1 year and 1 month old, so there is any warranty, but this would be pretty unfair to make phones dying right after the consumer guarantee would be expired. But I could believe in that, nowadays.

Please tell me what should I do in this case.

Kaya

Hi Kaya I think you should try to let the iPhone run out of battery again (don’t know how long it takes) and then try to leave it on charger a little bit so it can get some charger. After that you could again try to restart/start or reset it.

I would say if all that doesn’t work an Apple Store nearby will try to help you. Maybe they will even do it for free or a reasonable price because maybe it’s just an software issue (but unfortunately no guarantees on that Sir)

Cheers and good luck

A question that came in mind:

Does the iPhone show this low battery symbol on the black screen while you charge it?

Hallo, thank you for your fast reply.

I went to McShark, because I live in Graz, Austria and unfortunately we don't have the original Apple Store here.

What they could check and say, were that battery is not charging, means that something is not working properly in the iPhone.

They offered me to send it to the technician and make the check, if it's the battery and they can replace it for 100$. Of course comparing this to 1300$ I have payed for the phone is nothing, which I have to tell you, it's not easy to afford.

But honestly I would like to make it through official Apple Store, because I bought that iPhone in Vienna at Kaertner Strasse on 13.10.2021.

I am huge fan of Apple and have always bought at Apple, not other stores. (You can check my history)

iPhone 13Pro is my 4th or 5th iPhone, my previous iPhone 7 is still in great shape and luckily I can use it from today on, waiting for the iPhone13 will be fixed. It is extremely sad.

I have one question, is it really possible that battery in 1 year and (unluckily for me) 1 month old iPhone can have a charging/battery problem ?

There was couple times that when the battery went low, the iPhone got pretty warm, but people are talking about it as normal. So, could it be actually possible that the battery issue was happening through that year without my knowledge? And now when I am out of warranty I'll have to replace it by my own ? I feel very disappointed because I love this phone and Apple and I am disappointed and sad by the quality of the recent products. I know it is a massive production but still want to believe in Apple quality...

I hope you can offer me the solution of this situation.

Best regards, Kaya
