Apple Cinema Display 23" crashed / not detectable anymore

Hello everybody

my cinema 23" display from 2004 seemed to be working fine. However, last time my MacBook Pro from 2005 switched off because it ran out of battery, the display also turned off (which is normal) but then never turned on again. Thought the sudden cut of electricity might have something to do with it. I now reordered the adapter, but not very hopeful.

The power button still works and the light indicates that there is power coming through the wires, but the display isn’t detectable anymore when I go to my system preferences. The screen also stays black no matter if turned on.

Did somebody experience the same issue with this specific display and found a solution?

This is such a good display and it would be a shame if it’s beyond repair.
