Settings to enable Scan to folder via SMB

What are the settings to enable Scan to Folder via SMB for a Macbook under Ventura as OS. (Kyocera ECOSYS M5526)

I Tried:

Kyocera Command Center

SMB-Settings

Hostname:<IPAdress> e.g. just the address ****

Path:      Scans

[the folder has to be shared first under System-Settings&]

Login-User :       <User1>

Login-Password:<password>

Under Sharing in System Settings:

    • activated Filesharing
    • added the Folder Scans by click on the + symbol as shared folder
    • read/write preferences to the User <User1>

Testing the connection still fails, any ideas?

Thank you for your reply

  • Kyocera Manual didn't help me
  • I now managed successfully to scan to folder on my Macbook after activating the submenu in FileSharing for Windows

--------------

The first part of the settings I mentioned in my question have to be made on the scanner's webinterface (Kyocera Command Center) accessible via the IP-Address of your printer for example using Safari

Kyocera Command Center

SMB-Settings

Hostname:<IPAdress> e.g. just the address ****

Path:      Scans

[the folder has to be shared first under System-Settings&]

Login-User :       <User1>

Login-Password:<password>

The second part is to adjust the settings correctly in System settings of macOS in the FileSharing section:

Under Sharing in System Settings:

    • activate Filesharing
    • ad the Folder Scans by click on the + symbol as shared folder (you have to create a folder named Scans on your Mac first)
    • read/write preferences to the User <User1>

The missing step was to activate the "Compatibility" mode for Windows in the submenu by clicking on the Options Button
