Different firmware versions prevent AirPods Pro 2. Gen from connecting to each other
So i have a issue where i lost one of my airpods and i bought a brand new online. It has not worked because it said there was a mismatch of the two airpods so i could not connect it. I thought the problem was the new airbud as the old one connected on its own without an issue but the new one didnt. So i shipped it back and they shipped me a new one and its the same issue with the new one. I now think i know whats the issue. I think its that one airpod has the newest software installed but the old one is on god knows which firmware so thats why its giving the error. So updating the firmware then. Issue with that is that i dont know if the airpods even can update if they are not connected to the phone. So thats my question. Can the airpods update themselves if they are not connected to my iphone via bluetooth? Or mybe if someone has other ideas im open to them.
