System Data / Cache Storage is going crazy

Hello together!

I recently switched from a MBA M1 to a MBP M2 and im pretty happy with it except of one thing.

I did not copied any files from my old MBA to the MBP cause i wanted a "clean" system. I only installed the same Apps (IntelliJ, Pycharm, Xcode and so on). My MBA hat 256gb and about 155gb free space left. So i though, my MBP with 512gb storage should have 410-420gb of free storage (since its a clean install without any old files). 

Now heres the clue: The free storage was at about 430-435 after installing all my apps. iCloud downloaded some files (especially the photo library) and it went down to about 420 - totally fine for me. But then it went wild. It went down to 400 the one day, back up to 415 a few days later. Stayed there (i did not downloaded, installed or updated anything) for a while and went down to 405 again. I decided to not do anything and just wait (maybe indexing? But its about 4 weeks old now). 

Yesterday i had 405gb. Today morning it was at 396. Now, in the evening, im at 380. I did not installed or downloaded anything. 

In the settings the "wild storage" part is associated to System Data.

I tried to find the data hog and its inside the folder Library -> Caches -> Cloudkit -> com.apple.bird -> randomNumber -> MMCS -> ClonedFiles 

Is it safe to delete this folder? Or am i able to restrict it from growing like crazy? Currently this folder has 45gb?!
