Lenovo Dock Problems

Since over one year, I'm using an MacBook Pro (with Apple M1 Pro) and a Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A Dock. I have a camera and a microphone connected to the dock via USB. So far, everything was working perfectly.

However, since this morning, the Mac does not recognize USB devices connected via the dock anymore. Furthermore, display is also not working anymore.

Did anyone have the same problem/similar problems?

OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock nicht unter Windows 10 erkannt (iMac 27" 2020)? Hallo, Ich habe Windows 10 ("May 2021 Update") gerade frisch auf einer externen SSD installiert, welche an meinem iMac 27" 2020 direkt (Thunderbolt) angeschlossen ist. Die Boot Camp Treiber habe ich ebenfalls auf diesem iMac (unter macOS, mit dem Boot Camp Assistenten) heruntergeladen und dann anschliessend unter Windows 10 installiert. Nach der üblichen "Nachinstalliererei" (WLAN, Audiogerät, ...) der entsprechenden Treiber (via Windows Gerätemanager) und einigen Boot Camp Updates scheint zunächst alles zu funktionieren - bis auf ein "nicht erkanntes USB Gerät" und ein entsprechendes gelbes Ausrufezeichen im Gerätemanager (in der USB Kategorie). Und zwar offenbar genau das USB Gerät (ein Memory Stick), welches an meinem OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock eingesteckt ist (ich habe noch das ältere OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock mit FireWire 800 Schnittstelle - weswegen ich mich auch gerade für dieses Dock entschieden hatte). In der Tat wird auch eine weitere Thunderbolt 3 SSD nicht erkannt, und SD-Cards auch nicht. Nachdem ich ein wenig das Thunderbolt-Kabel zwischen den diversen Ports umgestöpselt hatte (der iMac hat ja zwei Thunderbolt Ports und das Dock auch) und Windows diverse Male gebootet hatte (und auch das Thunderbolt Gerät unter "Systemgeräte" entfernt hatte, sodass der Treiber wieder installiert wurde - kurz: "frustrierter Panikmodus" meinerseits ;)) sind nun zumindest aktuell alle gelben Ausrufezeichen weg, under "Systemgeräte" taucht ein "Thunderbolt"-Gerät auf, und unter den USB-Geräten tauchen ebenfalls keine gelben Ausrufezeichen mehr auf. ABER: es funktioniert auch keines der USB-Geräte (Memory-Stick) und auch die am Dock angesteckte Thunderbolt-SSD wird nicht erkannt (die eigentliche "Windows-SSD" ist ja wie gesagt direkt am iMac angesteckt): Windows zeigt beim ein-/ausstöpseln keine Regung, und im Dateimanager tauchen auch keine Geräte auf. Das Dock hat zwei LED-Statusanzeigen, beide sind an: blau = Gerät hat Strom (via externer Stromversorgung), grün = Gerät ist an einem weiteren Thunderbolt-Gerät (eben dem iMac) angesteckt! D.h. grundsätzlich ist zumindest das Dock der Meinung, dass eine "aktive Verbindung" besteht. Unter macOS Big Sur wird das Dock einwandfrei erkannt, insbesondere natürlich die Geräte, die ich daran anstecke. Und das Dock hat auch zuvor mit einem iMac 27" 2017 funktioniert (dort allerdings mit Windows 10 "May 2020"). Mit genau dieser Windows-Version ("May 2020"), welche ich auch noch auf einer externen SSD habe, habe ich einmal den neuen iMac 27" 2020 gebootet. Wie erwartet traten dort weitere Gerätekonflikte auf (Soundkarte, ...), weil ja dir Boot Camp Treiber für den älteren Mac gedacht waren. Allerdings funktionierte auch hier das Dock nicht: hier kam dann wieder die "USB Gerät wird nicht erkannt" (oder ähnlich) Meldung. Allerdings habe ich mit dieser Windows-Variante auch nicht länger experimentiert (also nicht die Boot Camp Treiber noch einmal aktualisiert etc.). Kurz: USB / Thunderbolt Geräte am Dock gehen nicht unter Windows 10 / iMac 27" 2020 Dieselben Geräte funktionieren unter macOS Big Sur (angeschlossen am selben iMac 27" 2020) Das Dock hat mal prima unter Boot Camp auf einem älteren iMac 27" 2017 funktioniert -> Hat irgendjemand ähnliche Probleme bzw. umgekehrt: funktionierten bei Euch Docking Stations unter Windows 10 und einem aktuellen iMac 2020?

Dock shut down when Dell WD19TB is connected with MacBook Pro M1 Hi all, Currently I have problems with my DELL WD19TBS dock and I was wondering if someone else has this problem. The problem: I didn’t use the dock for a few days. Suddenly, it’s not working anymore. I connect the Dock with the MBP, the LED on the TB cable lights up, the monitor flashes shortly, and finally the LED on the TB cable goes off and that's it. It feels like the dock is crashing and shuts down. If I connect the MBP and the dock again, the TB-cable-LED will not light up again. I have to restart the dock (but the problem repeats). My setup: I am using a Macbook Pro (MBP) 14-inch M1 (2021) with MacOS Ventura 13.3.1 together with the DELL WD19TBS Docking Station. For a Dual-Monitor setup, I connected a QHD monitor via USB-C to the Thunderbolt (TB) slot of the dock, as well as a simple 60Hz Displayport (DP) monitor. This setup is approved by Dell and was working for the last months. What I’ve done so far: I re-started the dock by disconnecting all cables for a couple seconds and holding the power button ("hard reset"). Once I plug in the power cable to the dock again, the power-button-LED of the dock flashes 3x. This should indicate the self-test is passed and the dock is fine. However, this does not solve the problem. I also tested the dock by connecting only one monitor (both of them separately). But the problem stays the same even if I have only a DP-monitor connected to the dock. So, I assume it is not a problem with my setup. The questions: Does someone else have this problem or experience with this docking station? Docking stations are know to be not reliable. Is my WD19 broken? Could this problem be cause by software (i.e. the current OS version)?

MacBook Pro 16" USB-C Dongle Problem. Bitte um Hilfe. Hallo, Seit kurzem erkennt mein neues 16" Macbook Pro, mein USB C Dock, als Display, wenn ich es mit dem Macbook verbinde obwohl kein Display am Dock angeschlossen wurde. Dieses Phänomen, erschien vorher nicht, erst seit dem letzten Samstag. Woran könnte dies liegen? MacOS, würde auf die neueste Version macOS 12., aktualisiert. Mac, wurde auch schon neu gestartet. Es nervt, denn ich komme aus diesen Zusatzdisplay nicht hinaus, wenn es eingeschlossen ist. Es lässt sich auch nicht manuell ab konfigurieren. Nur Dongle aus dem Mac schafft Abhilfe.

NVM: unplugging the power supply to the dock for 20s fixed them problem; I've no clue why ...
