Refund Request for Unauthorized In-App Purchases Made by My Nephew

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for some advice regarding a refund request.

My nephew asked if he could play World of Tanks Blitz on my iPhone because it has better graphics than his device. I agreed because I thought he only wanted to play the game.

Unfortunately, I later discovered that he had been using my Apple Pay payment method linked to my Apple ID to make in-app purchases without my permission. Over several days, he purchased 56 in-game items, totaling €288.11.

I do not play World of Tanks Blitz, and I never intended to buy anything in the game. As soon as I realized what had happened, I immediately submitted a refund request through Apple. My first request was declined, so I submitted a second request, which is currently under review.

I’m hoping Apple will manually review my case because these purchases were made by a minor without my permission, and I reported the issue as soon as I discovered it.

Has anyone had a similar experience? If your first refund request was denied, did Apple eventually approve it after a second request or a manual review?
