Changing the stereo out to outputs other than 1-2 without mirroring doe's not work

I'm using a Focusrite Scarlet 18i20 3rd generation interface and would like to use the digital outputs (9-10) as the stereo outs and free up my analogue outs 1-2 to use as Auxillary sends. I'm running LPX 11.1.2 on Sonoma. When I change my Stereo Output to 9/10 it just does not work:

It keeps saying that the 1/2 are the stereo outputs:

And if I set a channel output to 1/2 it gets mixed with the stereo output also
