Hi Jmar13,

What a bothersome and very concerning situation with your Calendar events disappearing overnight! 😔 I'm very sorry for this difficulty! It's quite inconvenient when important information for your organization simply vanishes.

Let's try to help you by providing some tips and steps that might assist you in finding a solution!

When calendar events suddenly disappear, it usually indicates a synchronization problem with calendar accounts (like iCloud, Google, Outlook), a change in the default calendar account, or a local data corruption.

Here are the most important tips and first steps to resolve this:

  • Check your Calendar's "Default Account" (CRUCIAL Tip!): 🗓️
  • The first tip is the most common for "missing events." If your Calendar's default account has changed, older events might not be displayed.
  • Go to Settings ⚙️ > Calendar > Default Account.
  • Confirm which account is selected. If it's different from the account where you usually save your events (e.g., iCloud if you used Gmail, or vice-versa), this might cause events from other accounts to "disappear."

Check All Active Accounts in Calendar:

  • Go to Settings ⚙️ > Calendar > Accounts.
    • Verify that all accounts you use for calendars (iCloud, Gmail, Outlook, etc.) are active and that the "Calendars" option is ON ✅.

Check the Calendar App (All Calendars Active!):

  • Open the Calendar app 📅 on your iPhone 13 Pro.
    • At the bottom of the screen, tap "Calendars."
    • On this screen, make sure that ALL calendars from all your accounts (iCloud, Gmail, etc.) are selected ✅. If any are unchecked, their events will not appear.

Check your Calendar on iCloud.com (If you use iCloud): 🌐

  • If you use iCloud for your calendars, the tip is to check if the events are still there in the cloud.
    • Go to iCloud.com 🌐 on a computer and log in with your Apple ID.
    • Click on the Calendar icon. See if your events appear normally there. If so, the problem is with your iPhone's synchronization.

Give your iPhone a "Breather" (Force Restart):

  • A simple restart can resolve minor system "hiccups" that affect synchronization.
    • Quickly press and release the Volume Up button ⬆️.
    • Then, quickly press and release the Volume Down button ⬇️.
    • Next, press and hold the Side button 🔌 until the Apple logo 🍎 appears.

Reset All Settings (without erasing data):

  • This tip can fix corrupted system settings that affect calendar synchronization.
    • Go to Settings ⚙️ > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings.

For more tips about calendar issues:

If the problem persists after all these checks:

If, even after all the tips above, the events continue to be missing, it might indicate a deeper software corruption or account data issue. At this point, it may be necessary to seek a professional diagnosis at an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP).

I hope these tips help bring your events back to Calendar! 🤞
