Hello, beatriz_b!

Regarding your question: the plan you described sounds like it could be AppleCare+, Apple's official coverage plan. Just to clarify one point: AppleCare+ covers repairs and parts replacement, not necessarily a full device replacement. A replacement unit is only provided when the device cannot be repaired, and that determination is made by Apple's technical team on a case-by-case basis.
If that is the plan you have, here's what Apple's terms say about missed payments: if a recurring AppleCare+ payment fails and the plan is canceled, it may be possible to purchase new coverage within 45 days after the plan ends. Since the missed payment was in February 2026, that window has likely passed, which means reactivating the original plan may no longer be an option.
However, it's worth checking if your MacBook is still eligible for new AppleCare+ coverage:
✔️ On your Mac, go to System Settings > General > AppleCare & Warranty and check if a new coverage option is available for your device.
📌 If the plan was purchased through a third-party provider and not directly through Apple, the terms and reactivation options may be different. In that case, you would need to contact that provider directly.
If no option appears or you need further assistance with an Apple plan, contacting Apple Support directly is the best next step.
