How to protect my MacBook Pro Retina against dust and humidity?
I have been in India (Goa) for about 3,5 month. I short time before I my stay endet my Mac Book Pro Retina started to make strange noises and got quite hot. Back in Germany I brought it to the Retailer and it got a service. Result: on the inside it was full of red sand/dust from Goa. The fans and the speakers had to be replaced. The retailer told me that he could not remove all the red dust because it was very sticky, what could happen if the humidity was high. That was the case because I was also there during monsun. I have to go back there again and I want to find out, what I can do in order to protect my Macbook against dust and humidity. Talking to the people form the place I was told, that I should get it cleaned on the inside once a month, I should not work outside and should get silicone bags to put in my notebook bag, so that they can suck excess humidity. The retailer mentioned notebook stands which come with a ventilator and that could help, so that not so much dust gets inside through the ventilator. Who has experience with that and can give me some advice how to best protect it? Thanks a lot and looking foward to hearing from you.
