How to work around Reminders not working on older devices

I, as many I can imagine, just updated iOS 13, and of course love a lot of the features. What I extremely don't love is that updating my _phone_ removed features from my _computers_ - after opening the Reminders-app under iOS 13, all lists and entries got removed from both my iMac and my MacBook Pro, which are both running on High Sierra as they're from 2011 and out of the update cycle since last year! That's nothing I choose on, I'm medically unfit to work and can't earn any money to afford a newer device, so what's happening now is that some of my devices work even less well just because I want one newer one to be up to date.

I can't imagine Apple intended this, but they definitely know, so they didn't much care either, which is honestly pretty... well, anyway. I'd like to know if any of you have any ideas for how to work around this and have the same reminders accessible both on my phone and my High Sierra computers, preferably without just using a different app.

Get ready for the new Reminders app - https://support.apple.com/HT210220

"Upgraded reminders aren't compatible with earlier versions of iOS and macOS. If you upgrade your reminders on your iPhone

with iOS 13, your iPad and Mac using the same iCloud account can’t access your reminders until iPadOS and macOS 10.15 Catalina are available. Learn what to expect until all your devices have the latest software."

Hello jatenk

--> If you accidentally deleted your calendars, reminders, bookmarks, or contacts from iCloud

You can go to iCloud.com and restore your missing calendars, reminders, bookmarks, or contacts from an earlier version.

When you restore from an earlier version, the version that you select will replace the existing calendars, reminders, bookmarks, or contacts on all your devices. Before you restore an earlier version, iCloud saves your current calendars, reminders, bookmarks, or contacts, so that if you want to reverse the restore, you can. Just repeat the steps to restore, and select the latest date to restore from.

If you recently made changes, you might lose some data.

You might want to create a backup before restoring.

Have a nice day!
