If you are not seeing one of these versions you'll want to make sure your paired device's software is up to date, and then do the following steps:

1. Listen to music or other audio content with the AirPods for at least 30 seconds. 
2. Put the AirPods back in the charging case and close the lid.
3. Use the Lightning cable to connect the charging case to power. Wait 30 minutes. Then reconnect the AirPods to the iOS or iPad device that they are paired to.

vielen Dank für deinen Beitrag in der Apple Support Community und deiner Frage.

Apple hat eine neue Firmware-Version für die AirPods 2 und AirPods Pro veröffentlicht, die vom Nutzer mit Hilfe des Ladecases aufgespielt werden kann.

Die Aktualisierung der AirPods erfolgt in der Regel automatisch, sobald die AirPods mit einem Gerät verbunden und in Verwendung sind. Doch dieser Vorgang kann sich verzögern. Das Update kann allerdings auch in manchen Fällen sofort erzwungen werden. Hierzu schließt man das AirPods Case an eine Stromquelle an, nimmt die AirPods heraus und koppelt diese mit einem iPhone oder iPad.
