FaceTime freeze (MacBook M1Pro, 12.1)
Hello community,
I would appreciate support regarding following issue on MBP (14“ M1pro; MacOS 12.1):
Facetime freezes within connection process: Signaling works fine (same for dialing or receiving), but once connection is on that step where I should receive the counterparts video (when your own video should get miniaturized and partners video should be shown), Facetime freezes and the color wheel appears. In the Dock, Facetime is then indicated as „not responding“. My partner can see my video and voice, still, but only way to quit is hard termination of the app.
A few more remarkable things: (1) When I establish Facetime audio FIRST, and THEN extend to video mode, this I working. (2) Only one of the admin users is affected (initial one), other user with other AID works fine. (3) Issue also in „safe mode“ (4) Also tried to re-install Monterey (no clean install yet).
In conclusion, it seems that there is a hick-up in the final connection phase where the partner video should be linked.
Does anybody has same issue or any solution what could avoid a clean install?
Many thanks
MacBook Pro (2020 and later)
