BeatSkillz: Major problems with Logic Pro X (A.U / V.S.T)
Hello
I open this conversation after having encountered a problem with the Audio Units proposed by BeatSkillz (no similar topic already posted), with whom I've been exchanging a lot by email these last few days to try to solve the problem I'm facing. Unfortunately, none of their solutions worked, and according to them, I'm the only one to encounter this problem (or at least to bring it up), which doesn't help to find a solution. They tried to recreate my problem on their side, they can't recreate the failure to simulate the problem.
I recently acquired several of their VSTs (A.U), compatible with Mac OS Catalina and Logic Pro X. Two of them seem to be the cause of the problem (Dark_Kz and Retro_Kz). I tried with the .pkg Audio Units, tried with the .pkg VSTs (after uninstalling them in the meantime), nothing changes. The modules are where they should be by default, no modification from me. I fully formatted and reinstalled my iMac (I can't install another OS than Catalina, even though I'm originally on High Sierra) twice. Same with Logic Pro (I'm fed up now).
I went through Logic's module utility, with reset and new analysis. I even used a application they sent me, restarting Command+R then command line in the Terminal in Safe Mode to disable the S.I.P. I scrupulously followed all their instructions, nothing changes, my problem remains the same and they now send me back to Apple.
I will add in this message some captures illustrating my problem. I use French as my language of use. So in addition to the images, I will briefly summarize in English the messages of the screenshots.
Two of the many Audio Units / VST I use make Logic Pro crash, partially (error message + report) or totally (impossible to open the project I'm working on). Either the module manager fails to validate them and I can't use them. Either they end up being validated by manipulating Module Manager + Exit/Reload, then the Logic Pro X project I'm working on ends up crashing, with a typical error message :
Incompatible Audio Units were found.
When checking Audio Unit compatibility, Logic Pro X found 2 Audio Unit module(s) not validated by Apple. These modules will no longer be used by Logic Pro X in order to avoid possible problems or blockages. You can start the module manager now to view the validation results or continue the startup procedure.
An Error Report window also opens, with a whole series of endless information and, in essence, a key message explaining that:
Auvatool (or Logic Pro X) stopped working due to a problem encountered with the use of the M.S.P. module (I don't know what that means).
So my question is simple: If BeatSkillz certifies me that everything works very well with them, that they can't simulate my problem and nobody else can trace this problem, then where is MY problem ??? I must necessarily do something wrong or miss a crucial point so that only I have this problem, right? Would you have an idea of a solution to propose to me? I'm really left to my own devices now, without a solution and this is very problematic in the context of the productions I want to work on. I need to use these VSTs, I did everything I knew I could do to try to find a solution, now I'm lost...
In advance I thank you for reading me and maybe, for helping me. I specify that I don't speak English, I translated this message from French with DeelP. Please forgive in advance the syntax of my message translated into English.
