2013 MacBook Pro does not find Bluetooth 3.0 Music Receiver
Hallo,
while my iPad 5 (2017, 128GB), my iPhone 6 and my wifes MBP Mid 2010 13" MacOs 10.12.6 are all able to detect it and connect to our Renkforce Bluetooth Music Receiver (Bluetooth 3.0), my MacBook Pro Mid 2012 13" MacOs 10.12.6 Sierra does not even detect it. Other Bluetooth connections on my MBP seem to work (for example to a JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth speaker, or to my wifes MBP or my iPhone).
I already tried the following to fix the Renkforce situation with my 2013 MBP:
• Rebooting
• Rebooting in safe mode
• Zapping parameter RAM
• Resetting SMC
• Debug mode: removing all Bluetooth devices
• Debug mode: resetting Bluetooth module
I found it interesting that the Bluetooth software version on my newer 2013 MBP is 5.0.5f3, while my wifes older 2010 MBP has Bluetooth software version 5.0.5f7, both running under the same MacOs version 10.12.6, but I guess that must have something to do with the fact that they both feature different Bluetooth chips, my wifes MBP being BT3.0-, mine MBP being BT4.0-capable, right?
Anyways: any ideas what I could still do to fix this?
Thank you very much!
Felix
