Reparación de placa base

Buenas tardes, hago una consulta general a ver si sus historias en casos similares me ayudan a decidir, sobre mi problema, desde ya muchas gracias por su ayuda y colaboración.

Mi caso es el siguiente:
Tengo una Macbook Pro 13 retina, 8 gb ram, 128 gb ssd de mediados de 2014, la maquina de un dia para otro murio totalmente, encenderla con cualquier combinacion de teclas era inutil, no hacía nada de nada.
La lleve a reparar y me dicen la placa base, esta muerta y hay que cambiarla. 625€ el presupuesto.

Mis dudas, a alguien le paso lo mismo??? Que le costó la reparación???
Merece la pena???
