Windows Support Software Download keeps getting stuck - MBP '17, BigSur, Windows 10

Hi all,

I'm trying to install Windows 10 through Bootcamp on my 2017 Macbook Pro 13". While the system successfully booted into Windows 10 following the setup, I was not able to execute the Bootcamp Setup.exe to install the drivers. Subsequently, I tried to download the Windows support software on a thumb drive through Bootcamp in macOS but failed as the download keeps getting stuck somewhere around 70%. I found similar threads but none of the solutions seemed to fix the problem.

Has anyone faced a similar issue and/or knows a solution?
